Great Falls United Methodist Church has a variety of ministries for children and their families. The ministries are for children from infancy through 5th grade. Our goal is to help children grow in faith in a loving and fun atmosphere. All childcare workers and volunteers are carefully screened and a Child Protection Policy training class is offered several times during the year.
For more information about the ministries for children please contact Kara Neal, Director of Youth and Family Ministries.

Children's Sunday School
There are two Children's Sunday School classes offered for children each week. A class is offered for children in pre-kindergarten and kindergarten. A second class, utilizing the one-room school house approach, is for children in 1st through 6th grades. Age appropriate curriculum is provided to the teachers.
Seasonal Ministries
Vacation Bible School (VBS)
VBS is a wonderful ministry held every summer for children age 3 through 5th grade. The ministry is a week long and is held from 9:00 am to 12:00 noon. VBS provides a time of fun and fellowship as the children learn more about their Christian faith. Each year there is a different exciting theme!
Trunk or Treat
The children of the congregation and community are invited to dress up in costumes to collect candy from car trunk to trunk. There is face painting, games, and a story time. The event is spooktacular!
Christmas Eve Family Service
Each Christmas Eve, a special service is held for families with young children. Children of all ages get to be a part of the service. Angels, wise people, and shepherds of every size are invited to participate. A fun time is had by all.
Easter Egg Hunt
An egg hunt is held each Easter morning to help celebrate Easter/Resurrection Sunday. Toddlers and 5th grade students alike enjoy finding sweet treats. It is also a great time for the families to socialize and take photographs.

Great Falls United Methodist Preschool (GFUMP)

In addition to our highly experienced and exceptionally qualified staff, we are proud of the partnership parents and teachers form to provide the best possible environment for the growth and development of “our” children. The ultimate goal of this partnership is to enable each child to be better prepared for and interested in learning while acquiring a sense of his/her own unique worth.
Local elementary school teachers tell us we are succeeding in meeting our goals. They recognize our students as being truly ready for kindergarten.
